BEN LAUNCHES NATIONAL 5-A-SIDE FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP
26 May 2006 - BEN Motor & Alied Trades Benevolent Fund

BEN, the Motor and Allied Trades Benevolent Fund thought is running its own National 5-a-side Football Championship

With the World Cup looming and football fever once again striking up and down the country, BEN, the Motor and Allied Trades Benevolent Fund thought it fitting to run its own National 5-a-side Football Championship for wannabe Beckhams and Rooneys to battle it out for the title of Automotive Champion.

To further celebrate World Cup year, BEN is also proud to announce that Martin Peters, Spurs and West Ham legend, and 1966 World Cup winner and goal scorer, will present the National Trophy at the Final in Birmingham on 13 August. This is a once in a lifetime experience for one lucky team and a golden PR opportunity for all companies taking part.

Regional heats start in July throughout the country at various venues in East and West London, Slough, Peterborough, Sheffield, Manchester and in August in Birmingham and Gateshead. A team entry costs £150 and each team will consist of up to seven players. A minimum of 3 games will be played lasting 45 minutes.

This 5-a-side football tournament is the perfect opportunity for individuals or companies to re-live the excitement of the World Cup, have some fun and hopefully score some goals. Interested companies who wish to participate should call Adam Hanrahan on 01344 294719 or email adam.hanrahan@ben.org.uk
