KAWASAKI’S STEWART POSTS FASTEST PRACTICE LAP

Stewart Prepares for Sunday’s Toyota AMA Motocross Championship at Mt. Morris
Kawasaki’s James Stewart, fresh off a series opening win last weekend in Sacramento, posted the fastest lap time today in practice in preparation for Sunday’s 30th Annual Kawasaki/Monster Energy High Point National, round two of the Toyota AMA Motocross Championship presented by FMF. Stewart’s fast lap of 2:02:527 was nearly one-and-a-half seconds quicker than Suzuki’s Ricky Carmichael (2:03:987) and almost five full seconds better than the best time of Yamaha’s Chad Reed (2:07.440). Honda’s Kevin Windham (2:08.223) and Davey Millsaps (2:09.256) rounded out the top five. In Motocross Lites, Kawasaki’s Ryan Villopoto was the quickest in his division at 2:07.051, with his teammate Troy Adams posting the second fastest time of 2:08.264. KTM’s Mike Alessi, the opening round winner, was sixth fastest at 2:09.335.
