MAKE YOUR WAY TO BIKESAFE DAY
01 September 2004 - MAG UK

The Essex region of the Motorcycle Action Group (MAG). are encouraging riders to top up their skills and experience for free at BikeSafe Day 2004 in Chelmsford on Sunday, 5 September.

The event will be held between 10am and 3.30pm, near Essex Police Headquarters. There has been much coverage in the media lately about the rising number of motorcycle deaths in Essex and so bikers are calling for everyone to ''double their efforts'' to reduce it.

At the free event there will be trade stands, observed ride outs, tips and advice from professional riders and you can find out more about BikeSafe and what MAG in Essex and Chelmsford have been doing to make biking safer. Simon Mouncey, spokesperson for MAG says, ''Bikers are the key to reducing the rising fatality rate. We encourage all bikers to find out about BikeSafe. It can help you become a better rider and enjoy your bike more.''

MAG has been very successful with past campaigns and MAG in Essex and Chelmsford wants to help all bikers to find out where they can get training and advice. Simon Mouncey adds ''It isn''t about how good a rider you are. Most of us think we are good riders but you only get to find out by having experience. By discovering your own limits and your bike''s before you need to, might save your life. By coming to BikeSafe Day 2004 you can get some really good advice and play your part in helping to reduce the rising number of accidents involving bikers.''

Stop press! Honda UK will be at BikeSafe Day 2004.
