SPEEDWAY NEWS AND FIXTURES - 19TH MAY
19 May 2006 - British Speedway Promoters Association

SPEEDWAY 1

EDWARD Kennett is returning to the Elite League with parent club Eastbourne in a doubling-up capacity.

Kennett will share a team place at Arlington with Andrew Moore whilst continuing in the Premier League with Rye House.

Eagles co-promoter Jon Cook said: ''The mouth-watering prospect of seeing Ed and Lewis Bridger in the same team for the rest of the season looks one to savour.''

SPEEDWAY 2

GARRY Stead became the first visiting rider to score a maximum at Redcar as his Workington team came away from Teesside with a 49-42 win.

Stead defeated former World Champion Gary Havelock three times on his way to a score of 14 (paid 15).

The result means that Workington are virtually certain to top the Northern section of the Premier Trophy and face King''s Lynn in the semis.
