BMW SIGN UP FOR THE UK’S BIGGEST EVER DIRT BIKE SHOW AT STONELEIGH PARK

BMW will exhibit at the Dirt Bike Show at Stoneleigh Park this November, marking another first in the event’s six year history.

The German manufacturer has enjoyed considerable success in the Paris-Dakar Rally (winning in 1999 and 2000) and their new HP2 Enduro, combining 105bhp engine with 175kg dry weight, is the most uncompromising series production offroad boxer twin ever built.

BMW will be joining the major Japanese manufacturers, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha, as well as KTM, Aprilia and Gas Gas from Europe. Virtually all of the major international clothing & accessory brands, including Alpinestars, Arai, Berik, Fox and No Fear, will have a major presence at the Show too. As a result the organisers have further expanded the amount of floor space and changed the hall layout, to give the biggest ever 2006 Dirt Bike Show a fresh new look. The Live Stage returns to Hall 2, bringing a pulsing beat back to the area containing next year’s hot new metal. Meanwhile the Hall 3 marquee is expanded to satisfy demand for retail stands, which has now outgrown Hall 1 – good news for bargain hunters or people searching that specialist bit of kit. That means that Hall 1 becomes a display only zone, featuring the latest clothing and accessories alongside the classic and twin shock feature, expanded following last year’s successful trial.

“The Dirt Bike Show is going from strength to strength, thanks to the continued support of the exhibitors and public alike,” comments a spokesman for the organisers, Promoto. “Even though we’re well over 90% sold out, six months before doors open, we’re not resting on our laurels. That’s why we’re giving the Show a facelift and we’ll soon have some very exciting news about the headline acts for Live Action Arena.”

All of this adds up to the sixth Dirt Bike Show at Stoneleigh-Park breaking through the 15,000 square metre mark, making it the UK’s BIGGEST EVER off-road show to date.
