SPEEDWAY 1

POOLE boss Neil Middleditch says that aggregate bonus points will be crucial to the Pirates'' chances of securing a play-off place this season.

Poole have yet to win on their travels in the Elite League, and face Ipswich on Wednesday needing to overturn a 10-point margin for the bonus.

Middleditch said: ''Our poor run of away results places a lot more pressure on the lads to win well at home.''

SPEEDWAY 2

WORKINGTON fans will benefit from a special ticket offer when the Comets stage two home meetings in three days later this month.

Supporters attending the Redcar match on May 27 will be entitled to reduced admission for the clash with Stoke on Bank Holiday Monday.

Co-promoter Graham Drury said: ''We realise it''s not easy on the pockets when there are two meetings close together, and this will hopefully make things easier.''
