SPEEDWAY 1 BELLE Vue''s Simon Stead has been handed the prestigious Wild Card spot for the British Grand Prix at the Millennium Stadium on June 3. British Under-21 Champion Ben Wilson and Eastbourne''s rising 16-year-old star Lewis Bridger will be the track reserves at Cardiff. Stead said: ''The Grand Prix is where I want to be and this is the chance I need to show that I deserve to be up there.'' SPEEDWAY 2 MILDENHALL have axed skipper Shaun Tacey after a disappointing run of form and replaced him with Andrew Moore. Moore will continue to ride for Eastbourne in the Elite League, although the Fen Tigers'' fixtures will take priority. Club owner Mick Horton said: ''It was a very tough decision but one I felt I had to make, and hopefully a change of track will do Shaun good.''
