WOLVERHAMPTON SPEEDWAY NEWS
15 May 2006 - Wolverhampton Speedway

PETER Karlsson played a true captain''s role for Wolverhampton in their 52-41 win over Poole at Monmore Green.

Karlsson was unbeaten by a Pirates rider in his five outings to score 14+1 and provided some thrilling action at the same time.

It was a solid all-round team performance from the Monmore men who gained revenge for their opening night challenge match defeat at the hands of Poole two months ago.
Billy Hamill (12) and Freddie Lindgren (8+1) both returned from injury for Wolverhampton and did their jobs well.

Antonio Lindback was the top scorer for Poole on 12 which included six-points for a win as a tactical ride in the penultimate race.

Karlsson had the last word with a stunning pass on Bjarne Pedersen, Poole''s Danish Grand Prix star, in Heat 15.

WOLVES: Peter Karlsson 14+1, Billy Hamill 12, Freddie Lindgren 8+1, Ronnie Correy 7+1, William Lawson 5+4, Magnus Karlsson 3, Christian Hefenbrock 3.
