EDWARD Kennett and Jason King took full advantage of their late World Under-21 reprieve to qualify from Sunday''s meeting at Sheffield.

The duo were included in the line-up when two Russian riders were unable to appear due to visa issues, and both finished in the top eight.

KING''S Lynn are through to the semi-finals of the Premier Trophy after a nervous finale at Newport on Sunday.

Newport won the meeting 48-45, but had they taken an advantage from the last race Lynn would have finished beind Somerset on points difference.

Skipper Tomas Topinka and Kevin Doolan were up to the task, however, and took maximum points from the heat to send the Stars through with Rye House.
