BMW MOTORRAD PUTS CUSTOMERS ON THE ROAD TO WIN
31 August 2004 - BMW Motorrad GB

BMW Motorrad has launched a test ride programme via its network of 36 dealerships, giving riders the opportunity to try a selection of motorcycles from its 2004 range.

And as an added bonus, each test ride participant will be entered in a special competition in which they can win one of ten BMW Motorrad Navigator II satellite navigation systems, worth £1,350 each.

Launched earlier this year, BMW’s Navigator II is one of the most comprehensive satellite navigation systems available. Incorporating the latest computer technology the system has many advanced features including touch screen operation, internal antenna, a massive 512Mb of memory, detailed street-level mapping, software covering the whole of Europe, a compass facility for off-road riding, is fuel resistant and is five times faster than the original model. In fact, the Navigator II has revolutionised global motorcycle travel.

A number of models in BMW’s current range will feature prominently in the test ride programme. These will include the 130 bhp K1200 GT and RS; the award-winning R1150 RS; the (now) famous R1200 C Cruiser (as seen in the James Bond Tomorrow Never Dies blockbuster); the R1150 R and Rockster (as ridden by Ben Affleck in Paycheck); and the R850 R Classic.

For an opportunity to win one of ten BMW Motorrad Navigator II GPS systems, all participants have to do is complete the test ride, fill in a registration card and make sure the dealership stamps it.

For more information about the test ride programme, which runs until 31 October, customers should contact any BMW Motorrad dealership, call the BMW customer information line on 0800 777 155
