13 May 2006 - British Speedway Promoters Association
SPEEDWAY 1 BRITISH duo Edward Kennett and Jason King are standing by for a late reprieve in the World Under-21 championship. Russian brothers Ruslan and Marat Gatiyatov are struggling to make Sunday''s qualifier at Sheffield because of visa problems - with Kennett and King next in line. Sheffield boss Neil Machin said: ''I''m sure Edward and Jason will be looking to take this chance with both hands and make it through to the semi-finals.'' SPEEDWAY 2 NEWPORT have booked Chris Neath as a guest for Sunday''s crunch Premier Trophy clash with King''s Lynn. Wasps cannot make the semi-finals but if they win by nine points Somerset will go through at the expense of Lynn on points difference.
