BLOGGERS AWARD THE DUCATI HYPERMOTARD AS THE BEST “CONCEPT BIKE” OF 2005
16 May 2006 - Ducati
Recently the Ducati Hypermotard was recognised as the best prototype in the competition for “The Most Beautiful Bike in the World,” and now, motorcyclists and bloggers from around the world continue to be captivated by its design.
Now the Ducati Hypermotard was awarded the “The Most Promising Concept Motorcycle” for 2005 based on the practical innovation of the bike. The competition was run by Motorcycle Bloggers International (MBI), an association made up of bloggers in the motorcycling world that runs an Annual Internet Award for Motorcycles called the “Star and Fallen Stars Awards”. This most recent prize adds to the constantly growing list of honours that the Hypermotard has received since it took the stage last November in Milan, confirming its great success among the public. In addition to the award for the best concept bike, Ducati was also recognised for its online presence: the DesmoBlog, an online blog written directly by the Ducati President as a new way to communicate with colleagues, fans and bikers, was ranked #2 in the ''Best Web Presence'' category. The MBI rider’s awards were divided into two main categories : the Fallen Stars for their “lapses of judgment” (including the worst contribution to motorcycling and the ugliest new bike) and the Stars for their “noteworthy achievement” (including the best contribution to motorcycling, the most riding fun, the best web presence and more).
