MEET THE STARS AT THE TT PADDOCK WALK ABOUT
13 May 2006 - Isle of Man

This year for the first time ever there will be a BSB style Paddock Walk About at the Isle of Man TT Races, where fans will have the chance to meet their racing heroes and collect autograph cards and posters.

On Saturday the 3rd of June all the leading stars entered in this year’s event will converge at their race transporters for a one hour session prior to the opening race of the fortnight to meet the fans and sign autographs. There is no better chance to get close to the likes of John McGuinness, Adrian Archibald, Ian Lougher, Martin Finnegan and the rest, and they will be in situ for a full hour starting at 10am – three hours prior to the start of the Superbike TT Race.

Among those teams included in the Paddock Walk About are HM Plant Honda, Klaffi Honda, Stobart Honda, TAS Suzuki, Hawk Kawasaki, McAdoo Kawasaki, JD’s Racing, AIM Yamaha, Team Racing, Uel Duncan Racing, Martin Bullock Raceteam and DMRR Honda.

Speaking about the new initiative, Minister for Tourism and head of the TT Co Ordinating Committee David Cretney said:

“The TT has always been an event where the fans can get close to their heroes and this is something we want to ensure always remains. From the consultative process we have gone through over the past few years, this is one area the fans have asked us to improve upon, which is why we have brought together this new initiative. All the top riders will be there for a full hour to meet the fans and sign autographs and posters, and we hope to see lots of people up there, especially our younger fans, prior to the opening race of the fortnight.”
