Amp’d Mobile Supercross Season Ending Awards Night in Las Vegas

Last night the 2006 Amp’d Mobile World Supercross GP/Amp’d Mobile AMA Supercross Series awards banquet unfolded in front of the supercross family inside the MGM Grand Garden Arena where riders, sponsors and industry personnel were recognized for their contributions and achievements.

“It has arguably been one of our best seasons ever,” said Todd Jendro, senior director of supercross, Amp’d Mobile Supercross. “In the sport’s 34-year history, we have never had the AMA Supercross points race tied heading into our final race. The season enjoyed record attendance numbers, record television ratings, and record webcast ratings. In addition, the support from corporate America, riders and teams has positioned the sport at an all-time high.” I’d like to congratulate the respective champions as well as our top privateer Nick Wey.”
