SHERCO RACE REPORT - SSDT 2006 AND WEC PORTUGAL
08 May 2006 - Sherco

Graham Jarvis continues the winning tradition of Sherco in the Scottish with another victory!

Sherco has won its fifth victory in its short life as a player in the field of trials competition, by winning again, one of the most prestigious events in the world of Trials, at the hands of Graham Jarvis. Graham has actually dedicated this year to racing Enduros rather than competing in the trials world championship, this win shows that he has not forgotten the specialty that has made him famous.

The British rider dominated the SSDT from start to finish; he accumulated only 14 points in the six days of the race, ten of which he took on the last day. But the rewards for Sherco did not stop with the victory by Graham; the young team rider Lee Sampson was the best finisher on a bike under 200cc’s. Lee finished a very meritorious 20th overall. Phil Alderson received the honor for best finish for a rider more than 40 years old. The final test of the 2006, 3.2 4T went well with Jordi Soler being able to finish this very difficult event without any problems, Jorge Alonso was doing very well until last day a rock punctured the crankcase of his 3.2 which caused him to have to abandon.

Good results for Sherco riders in the Portugese Round of the Enduro World Championship

The second round of the Enduro World Championship saw positive results for the Sherco Team Riders. Of note were the results of Jeremy Joly, who in his second start on the larger displacement bike, finished in the top ten on both days (7th and 8th). In E3 Michael Vukcevic finished 8th and 10th, while Joan Pedrero, who had some difficulties, finished 18th both days. While on the negative side we must regret the absence of Thierry Klutz who fractured his wrist while training the day before the race.
