WOLVERHAMPTON SPEEDWAY NEWS
03 May 2006 - Wolverhampton Speedway

WOLVES doubling-up youngster Ben Wilson enjoyed the greatest night of his career at King''s Lynn as he was crowned 2006 British Under-21 Champion.

Wilson won a re-started Final at the Norfolk Arena after Daniel King and Steve Boxall had tangled on the first bend, but made no mistakes to head home King, Lewis Bridger and Boxall at the second attempt.

Wilson headed the qualifying scorers along with King, both scoring 14 points from their five rides with the Wolves reserve dropping his only point to Edward Kennett in the first race. That put the duo through to the Final directly, with Bridger and Boxall coming through the semi-final for third to sixth-placed scorers.

William Lawson was unable to take his place in the line-up due to a college exam which clashed with the re-arranged date for the meeting.
