SPEEDWAY 1 NEWCASTLE skipper James Grieves was thrown out of their 46-44 Premier League defeat at Newcastle after throwing a punch at Neil Collins. The incident occurred after Heat 13 when Collins had passed Grieves and colleague George Stancl. Newport chief Tim Stone said: ''On the slow-down lap Grieves, who I understand has had boxing training, laid into Neil. It was a vicious attack which left Neil on the floor and I was appalled by it.'' SPEEDWAY 2 KING''S Lynn chief Keith Chapman believes the race for the British Under-21 title is wide open. The final will be staged at the Norfolk Arena this Wednesday and includes hot prospects Edward Kennett, Lewis Bridger, James Wright and William Lawson. Chapman said: ''Some of the youngsters have been riding well for Elite League clubs and I really don''t see how you can pick a winner with any degree of confidence!''
