SPEEDWAY NEWS 29 APRIL
29 April 2006 - British Speedway Promoters Association
SPEEDWAY 1 POOLE wish to make all supporters attending Monday''s clash between the Pirates and Coventry aware of a change to the normal start time. The pre-match parade will now take place at 6.45pm with the first race at 7pm. Co-promoter Mike Golding said: ''With the area likely to experience the traffic problems usually associated with a Bank Holiday, fans will need to start out a little bit earlier.'' SPEEDWAY 2 SHEFFIELD promoter Neil Machin is excited by the prospect of staging a qualifying round for the World Under-21 Championship at Owlerton on May 14. Rising Polish stars Karol Zabik and Adrian Miedzinski along with Australians Troy Batchelor and Chris Holder, and Tigers'' own Kyle Legault are already confirmed starters. Machin said: ''We don''t know the full line-up yet but I''m delighted with the names that we already have pencilled in.''
