AIRWAVES DUCATI SET TO CONTINUE THEIR WINNING WAYS AT OULTON PARK
29 April 2006 - Airwaves Ducati

Airwaves Ducati head to the fourth round of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship at Oulton Park this weekend with Gregorio and Leon holding first and second place in the championship.

It has been a successful year so far for the Airwaves Ducati team; Lavilla has started his championship defence by breaking the lap record at every circuit visited so far. He took a double win in the last round at Thruxton with team mate Leon Haslam coming second in both races, resulting in Airwaves Ducati having double podium finishes in the last five races.

The 2.6920 mile Cheshire circuit is technically challenging for riders but having ridden the fastest ever time on two wheels around Thruxton Leon is confident about this weekend.

“Having had such a good ride at Thruxton, I am excited about getting to Oulton Park this weekend, hopefully we can be at the front of the grid again and I will be aiming for my first win of the year.”

2005 British Superbike Champion Gregorio Lavilla said, “I am looking forward to this weekend’s race and I hope it goes as well as Thruxton. I am feeling really good at the moment and the 999F06 bike feels great, I would like to build on my last few results, continue to do well in qualifying and gain good championship points.”

Round 4 of the BSB Championship is on Bank Holiday Monday 1st May at Oulton Park.
