HARE AND HOUND, ROUND 5: LUCERNE, CA

The Hare and Hound riders contested the very dry and dusty Lucerne Valley track this past weekend and all three KTM riders finished in the top 10.

At the start of the bomb run, David Pearson and Kellon Walch had a strong start while teammate Matt Gosnell struggled and was almost last. Never one to give up, Gosnell made a huge effort and carefully picked his way through the first 40-mile loop, moving all the way up to twelfth at the gas stop. Pearson had also made equally impressive moves and sat in fourth while Kellon Walch pitted in eighth.

During the second loop, Pearson showed a lot of tenacity as the young rider injured his leg on a rock but kept pushing through and finished fifth for the day. Gosnell continued his charge and finished seventh and Walch finished a strong eighth.
