ORANGE ROAD RACING WEEKEND
27 April 2006 - KTM-Sportmotorcycles AG

Last weekend, the riders of the Red Bull KTM Road Racing Team took advantage of the sunny weather and all came together in Fuschl.

The main purpose of this meeting was to finally meet outside the race track and to grow further together.

The Red Bull KTM Grand Prix riders Julian Simon (GP 125cc), Michael Ranseder (GP 125 Junior), Hiroshi Aoyama and Manuel Poggali (GP 250) as well as the 125cc Red Bull ADAC KTM Juniors Robin Lässer and Randy Krummenacher from the International German Championship (IDM) did participate.

Pit Beirer and Heinz Kinigardner lead the international KTM team through the interesting program loaded with high lights. Right at the beginning was a visit at the rope garden at the Outdoor Center Baumgartner in Bad Reichenhall - together with KTM’s motor sports manager Kurt Nicoll. Those who were a little afraid of climbing around in 13 metres height in the beginning, had lost all their fear and gained a lot more self confidence and team spirit by the time they arrived at Hangar 7 at the Salzburg Airport afterwards.

At Hangar 7, the team managers as well as racing director Harald Bartol welcomed them and the riders got the opportunity to meet Hubert Trunkenpolz (member of board of the KTM Sport motorcycles AG) and Red Bull Boss Dietrich Mateschitz.

Hiroshi Aoyama and Julian Simon - both a bit pale after - went on board of an American combat plane from World War II, which Dietrich Mateschitz has in his collection.

After a couple of laps and fierce fights in two races at the Cart Hall Salzburg on Saturday morning, six of the young riders went for lunch and relaxation to the Carpe Diem, an excellent restaurant in Salzburg city centre. In nice atmosphere was some time to chat with Thomas Überall, Head of Red Bull’s international motor sports section before the little group went for a sight seeing tour around Salzburg historical centre.

A visit to the Red Bulls Football Arena, where Red Bulls Salzburg won against the Styrian team marked the end of the trip.
