SPEEDWAY 1 EASTBOURNE star Nicki Pedersen will have surgery on his wrist problem on Monday - 48-hours after winning the Slovenian Grand Prix! Pedersen edged out Belle Vue''s Jason Crump in the final at Krsko in the opening round of the series with Tomasz Gollob third and reigning champion Tony Rickardsson fourth. He said: ''I can race at 90 per cent with my wrist the way it is, but I want to get it sorted.'' SPEEDWAY 2 HOME favourite Edward Kennett won the £1,000 top prize in the Championship of Great Britain qualifier at Rye House. Kennett beat Arena-Essex man Paul Hurry, Workington''s Garry Stead and Rockets colleague Chris Neath in the Grand Final. All four go through. Other qualifiers for the British Final at Belle Vue on Sunday June 11 were Coventry''s Oliver Allen and Sheffield''s Ricky Ashworth who scored nine-points each.
