SPEEDWAY NEWS AND FIXTURES 21 APRIL
21 April 2006 - British Speedway Promoters Association

SPEEDWAY 1

ARENA-ESSEX have signed Polish rider Mariusz Puszakowski to replace his struggling countryman Lukas Romanek.

Puszakowski had an impressive spell with Ipswich late last season and will make his Hammers debut against Elite League leaders Reading next Friday.

Arena boss Ronnie Russell said: ''Mariusz has a good pedigree and I am hoping he will give us that added edge, especially away from home.''

SPEEDWAY 2

BERWICK promoter Peter Waite says the signing of Pole Stanislaw Burza is the biggest he has made in his time in charge at Shielfield Park.

Burza has agreed a deal to join the Bandits in place of the long-serving Adrian Rymel, and will make his debut on Saturday.

Waite said: ''Watching him is nothing short of breath-taking. I fully believe in him and expect some spectacular speedway.''
