SPEEDWAY 1 INJURY-HIT Eastbourne have suffered a further blow with top man Nicki Pedersen set to be ruled out for a fortnight due to a wrist injury. Pedersen will go into hospital for an operation following this weekend''s Slovenian Grand Prix in Krsko. It will rule the Dane out of a home match against Swindon and away trips to Peterborough and his former club Wolverhampton. SPEEDWAY 2 READING boss Jim Lynch offered no excuses after the table-topping Bulldogs crashed to a 39-51 defeat at home to Peterborough. Hans Andersen scored a 15-point maximum for the Panthers who are now beginning to live up to their pre-season potential. Lynch said: ''I''ve said all along Peterborough are a very good side, and they proved that tonight - they were deserved winners on the night.''
