SPEEDWAY FIXTURES - 16 APRIL
16 April 2006 - British Speedway Promoters Association

SPEEDWAY 1

PHIL Morris is facing a race against time to be fit for Belle Vue''s mid-week home clash with Swindon.

Morris is suffering from a foot injury sustained in the Good Friday win over Wolverhampton.

Aces boss Ian Thomas said: ''Phil can put some weight on his foot, which he couldn''t when he was injured, but we''ll have to wait for the result of the second X-ray before naming the team.''

SPEEDWAY 2

TAI Woffinden is hoping to follow in his father''s footsteps - by winning a place in Scunthorpe''s team.

Woffinden, 15, has recovered from a broken ankle and will now push for selection in the Conference League team.

Father Rob was one of the most popular riders for the Lincolnshire club at their former Ashby Ville home in the 80s before he moved to Australia a decade ago.
