WCH MX: Rnd 2, Bellpuig, Grand Prix of Spain Tortelli 4th fastest in Spanish sun (15.04.2006)

Red Bull KTM rider Sebastien Tortelli clocked the 4th quickest time this afternoon at a sunny Bellpuig for the Grand Prix of Spain.

The Frenchman is competing at the circuit for the first time since 1996 where he claimed victory in the 125cc class. Despite a small crash during practice the former World Champion was only two tenths of a second away from Tanel Leok’s pole position. Team-mate Jonathan Barragan placed 12th on the new SX450F.

In MX2 Tyla Rattray looked in comfortable form as he eased past Marc De Reuver for victory in the second qualification heat. David Philippaerts was 4th and Carl Nunn scraped into the top 12 on the last lap after earlier tweaking his knee in a fall during Free Practice.
