WOLVERHAMPTON SPEEDWAY - 14 APRIL
14 April 2006 - Wolverhampton Speedway
BELLE VUE 54 WOLVES 39 FREDRIK Lindgren ended Jason Crump''s perfect start to the 2006 Elite League season - but by the time the Australian had been beaten, Belle Vue had already collected a comfortable win on Good Friday morning. Crump, with 20 race wins out of 20 in his previous four matches for the Aces, finished third behind Simon Stead and Lindgren in the last race, Lindgren having previously reduced an 18-point deficit with a tactical ride win for six points in Heat 14. There was no stopping former Wolves squad rider Stead, however, who romped to a 15-point maximum - his second full house in consecutive meetings - and Joe Screen was also unbeaten as Wolves were unable to provide a heat winner until that penultimate race. Wolves now travel back down the M6 to Coventry for their second meeting of the day - the start-time at Brandon is 8pm. BELLE VUE: Simon Stead 15, Jason Crump 13, Joe Screen 12, James Wright 5+1, Phil Morris 3, Kenneth Bjerre 3, Tom P Madsen 3. WOLVES: Fredrik Lindgren 13+1, Christian Hefenbrock 8+1, Peter Karlsson 6, Billy Hamill 5, Ronnie Correy 4+2, Lee Smethills 2, Magnus Karlsson 1+1.
