GNCC SERIES, ROUND 4: UNION, SC
14 April 2006 - KTM-Sportmotorcycles AG

Juha Salminen has collected his fourth win of the 2006 season at the Big Buck GNCC in Union, SC.

Off the start, Juha quickly moved into the third position, while Mike Lafferty was in fifth and teammate Robbie Jenks got tangled with another rider and went down in the first turn. Without hesitating, Juha took over the lead and by the end of the first lap he gained a one minute lead on the rest of the pack. Meanwhile, Lafferty moved swiftly into second and a determined Robbie Jenks had positioned himself in fifteenth and continued to move up.

Juha had set the pace and gained a minute and a half on the second place rider. His lead barely dwindled as he stopped for gas on lap three while other racers continued on. The battle for second and third position raged on behind him with Charlie Mullins, Barry Hawk, Rodney Smith and Mike Lafferty jockeyed for position as the four riders barreled down the dry and hard packed course.

Juha pitted once more and then crossed the finish line one minute before Charlie Mullins and then Rodney Smith. Mike Lafferty finished in fifth and Robbie Jenks moved up to thirteenth.
