TEAM Great Britain boss Neil Middleditch is urging fans to back his side in their World Cup warm up with Sweden at Swindon on Tuesday.

Middleditch is looking for a confidence boosting display ahead of the tournament in July with the final stages to be held in England.

He said ''I know it''s still early in the season but this is still a good opportunity for us all to get together and hopefully pull off a welcome win.''

EASTBOURNE needed a last race decider for the second successive week as they beat Wolverhampton 46 - 44 in an Arlington thriller.

But the win was at a cost as influential Californian Brent Werner pulled out of the meeting with a shoulder injury which put added pressure on reserve Lewis Bridger.

Eagles boss Jon Cook said ''once again it was a thrilling finish for our fans but not too good for my heart rate! Our fingers are crossed for Brent.''
