SPEEDWAY NEWS 8 APRIL
08 April 2006 - British Speedway Promoters Association
SPEEDWAY 1 GREAT Britain boss Neil Middleditch says that Tuesday''s Test Match against Sweden will be a good test for his riders ahead of the World Cup. Scott Nicholls leads the home side at Swindon with several riders looking to put themselves firmly in Middleditch''s plans for the summer. Middleditch said: ''Next week''s seven riders form the basis of the World Cup squad with the addition of two or three others.'' SPEEDWAY 2 COVENTRY co-boss Peter Oakes was pleased to see reserve Olly Allen finding his form in Friday''s win over Ipswich. Allen won two races in the early stages, including one over ex-World Champion Mark Loram, at a time when some home riders were struggling. Oakes said: ''Olly had his best meeting for us and I thought he was terrific. He can be very happy with his night''s work.''
