SPEEDWAY NEWS 7 APRIL
07 April 2006 - British Speedway Promoters Association
SPEEDWAY 1 IPSWICH star Mark Loram says that poor starting cost the Witches dearly as they went down to home defeat against Reading. Visiting skipper Greg Hancock inspired the Bulldogs'' third away win as the Smallmead club went top of the Elite League table. Loram said: ''We simply are not gating with any consistency and we are paying the price. To lose at Foxhall is very disappointing.'' SPEEDWAY 2 NEWCOMERS Redcar have been forced into a team change before their opening meeting with Matt Tresarrieu injured whilst practicing in France. Tresarrieu has damaged his shoulder and will be out for around a month, so the Bears have signed Danish rider Richard Juul as cover. Promoter Gareth Rogers said: ''A temporary replacement seems the sensible solution and to get a rider of Richard''s calibre is fantastic.''
