THE HAIRY BIKERS COOKBOOK IS COMING SOON
08 April 2006 - BMW Motorrad GB

Following on from this year’s popular Hairy Bikers BBC Two television series, the two big bearded bikers – Dave Myers and Simon King – are preparing to recreate their mixture of motorcycle tales and delicious delicacies from around the world with the launch of a new book, aptly named The Hairy Bikers Cookbook.

The BBC television series was first broadcast in January, and enthusiasts regularly tuned in to see the lads ride bikes including BMW R1200 GS machines in a variety of destinations all over the world. Their love of food and travel soon became apparent as the pair rode in search of authentic culinary delights and diverse cultural experiences, including the world’s best barbeque (in Namibia) and the secret of the perfect stew (while touring Ireland).

From salt-baked crayfish to caramelised bananas, The Hairy Bikers Cookbook is full of tantalising recipes designed to sizzle the taste buds of passionate cooks and bikers everywhere. Combined with beautiful illustrations, behind-the-scenes images, anecdotes and gourmet tips, the book is the perfect way to learn more about delicious food discovered, cooked and eaten by two charismatic northern bikers.

The World of BMW has six signed copies of The Hairy Bikers Cookbook to give away. To be in with a chance of winning, enthusiasts are invited to visit the www.worldofbmw.com website and click on the competition banner before 30 April.

Published by Penguin, The Hairy Bikers Cookbook will be available in all good bookshops from 6 April, priced £20. The second series of The Hairy Bikers Cookbook can be seen on BBC Two every Wednesday at 8pm.
