Now he is part of the KTM Gauloise team with a factory bike. Second place in the 2005 world championship, a dream come true. He has just finished second in Argentina and now wants just one thing, a win on a major rally. So close. Isidre ESTEVE PUJOL, Spain The Spanish rider is a transfer from the REPSOL team, with whom he had made an impression on the Orpi Morocco rally. Even after recovering from a nasty wound from the Dakar he should be in good enough shape to impress with his speed and navigation. Pal ANDERS ULLEVALSETER, Norway In 2004 this Norwegian won the world championship. Still getting better this reserved rider just came sixth in the Dakar (and having surprised a few on one of the specials). So without a doubt this up and coming rider is one of the favourites. Michel GAU, France In OFF-ROAD just recently from Trials, he has managed to make the position and responsibility of water carrier for his friend and team-mate Cyril DESPRES. Eleventh in the Dakar this confident rider should be able use this Optic 2000 rally in Tunisia to establish his name even more. Jacek CZACHOR, Poland This police motorcyclist will be for the first time on a KTM 450.Given his capabilities he should have no problem in this category. Another one who risks not only to fight for a placing in his category, but in the overall rally as well. Ocar POLLI, Italy The Italian rider is starting to aquire a lot of OFF-ROAD experience, he has rode the 450 for the last two seasons. He seems to be at home in this category. This likable Italian will certainly be there for the pleasure but his natural form makes him a contender. Gilles TIXADOR, France Police motorcyclist in France for the “Police Nationale”. For him the OFF-ROAD gives him a chance to get away from it all and meet people. Last years Tunisia he managed only a couple of km before falling victim to a broken finger on the first special, so he’s back with a revenge, relying on his experience to carry him forward in the ranks. ...
