SPEEDWAY 1 READING fired a warning to the rest of the Elite League with a stunning 52-41 win at title favourites Peterborough. Slovenian star Matej Zagar, in his first season of top flight racing, reeled off four straight wins in his 13-point haul. Jubilant Bulldogs boss Jim Lynch said: ''Not many teams will come here this season and win, so we''ve got to be delighted with our result and performance.'' SPEEDWAY 2 SOMERSET''S injury problems have deepened with the in-form Jamie Smith suffering a broken leg at King''s Lynn. Smith collided with track grading equipment after a race in the Premier Trophy clash at the Norfolk Arena and will now need surgery. Rebels co-promoter Jo Lawson said: ''We lost Pavel Ondrasik and now Jamie, it really is unbelievable. Our thoughts are with him and his family, especially partner Lucy.''
