02 April 2006 - Sherco
At the same time, Sherco also announces the launch of the street version of the 450 SM, this model has up until now been used exclusively on the track.
Without altering the competitive characteristics of the bike, the engineers have modified it so that it meets all of the current regulations. This new SM 450 model can be registered without any problems. It was a matter of extrapolating the same components as are used on the prestigious 450i Enduro model and fitting the SM model with the appropriate tires, rims and brakes in order to adapt it to the booming Supermotard category.
