AMA PROPOSE HATS OFF FOR 2005

This rule change would see Hats Off, or similar, becoming compulsory in the official American Motocross Championship.

It is another massive step forward for the superb Hats Off(r) Emergency Helmet Removal System and further proves the importance of using this system. This will certainly increase attention from the ACU who must be seen to be as active as the AMA, especially at a time when safety is so critical.

''05 Proposed Rules Changes

The following rules change proposals were created utilizing input from AMA Pro Racing staff and the AMA Pro Motocross/Supercross Advisory Board. The proposals involve various technical and competition aspects of Supercross and Motocross.

Proposal 1

All helmets used by riders in on-track activities would be required to be equipped with a commercially-manufactured emergency helmet removal device such as the Hats Off(r) device or the Arai helmet removal device.
