ABUS FIXING ANCHOR IS THEFT BUSTER
23 August 2004 - ABUS

ABUS, Europe’s leading name in padlocks and security systems, is encouraging bikers to keep their motorcycles safe when parked at home by locking them up to the WBA100 fixing anchor.

Whether attached to a wall or floor inside a garage or on the outside of the house or drive, the WBA100 provides an extra deterrent to make life difficult for bike thieves.

Following on from the success of the ABUS WBA 50, the WBA100 fixing anchor has a 16mm steel shackle of hardened special steel to give top security when used in combination with an ABUS lock and chain. Its flat shape means that even a car can drive over the WBA100 when it is fixed to the floor, making it ideal for use in a garage or on a drive.

Said ABUS Marketing Manager UK, Nick Vanderhoest: “Research shows that motorbikes are four times more likely to be stolen than the average vehicle, so don’t give the thieves an easy ride. Fitting a fixing anchor at home or your place of work is a simple and cost-effective way to increase the security of your pride and joy.”

The WBA100 wall anchor from ABUS measures 16.5cm by 16cm and retails at around £50 including VAT.
