SPEEDWAY NEWS AND FIXTURES 24.3.06
24 March 2006 - British Speedway Promoters Association
SPEEDWAY 1 SOMERSET expect to be without Czech star Pavel Ondrasik for at least a month due to the broken wrist he sustained at Rye House last week. Ondrasik has undergone an operation and is now back home recuperating, with the Rebels yet to decide whether to sign a replacement. Co-promoter Jo Lawson said: ''There are not that may riders available with a comparable average, so our choice will be limited.'' SPEEDWAY 2 STOKE promoter Dave Tattum is expecting a tough test against old rivals Glasgow when the Scottish side visit Loomer Road on Saturday. Glasgow have been boosted by an away win at Berwick last week, although the Potters were encouraged by their first home outing. Tattum said: ''Glasgow are a team who always go well around our place, but I thought our balance looked comfortable last week.''
