PARRYS International Wolves face a tough test at in-form Swindon on Thursday night - but can take another step towards securing second spot in the Elite League with a positive result at Blunsdon.
The Robins have been in excellent form recently, especially on their home circuit where they have been beaten just once all season, but Wolves are confident themselves. The Monmore men demolished a poor Arena-Essex side 62-30 at home on Monday night, and now hold a six-point lead over third-placed Ipswich with seven matches each remaining. Wolves defend an eight point lead at Swindon for the aggregate bonus point. Early in the campaign they were knocked out of the Cup in Wiltshire, but returned in June to take the bonus point, on both occasions when they were defending seven point margins. Simon Stead races in his first Wolves away match of the season at reserve, and after the meeting both Mikael Max and Wolves'' Leigh Adams will be heading to Gothenburg to prepare for the weekend''s Scandinavian Grand Prix, with practice on Friday. SWINDON: Leigh Adams, David Ruud, Andy Smith, Charlie Gjedde, Steve Johnston, Oliver Allen, Peter Ljung. WOLVERHAMPTON: Mikael Max, Daniel Nermark r/r, Fredrik Lindgren, Sam Ermolenko, David Howe, Adam Skornicki, Simon Stead.
