2006 WORLD INDOOR TRIALS CHAMPIONSHIP G.P.SPAIN (MADRID)
20 March 2006 - Sherco
Albert Cabestany closes out the Indoor season with another podium
With the third place finish obtained in the great racing community of Madrid, the team of Sherco-Cabestany closes out a brilliant 2006 Indoor Trails Championship of the World with a second place in the Provisional standings. Albert had actually settled the issue last week with his first place finish. Albert rode a spectacular first lap picking up only three points. However he lost first place to Raga who rode the timed section faster. Before attempting the final, Albert had to change bikes due to a loose bolt in the rear suspension. This bike change no doubt caused him some disorientation although he was the leader up to the eight section. An unfortunate fiasco in this section, in which he failed to negotiate a huge step, relegated him to third place in the race. He still closed out the season with another brilliant podium finish. G.P.
