WOLVERHAMPTON SPEEDWAY: PETERBOROUGH 51 WOLVES 42
16 March 2006 - Wolverhampton Speedway
PETERBOROUGH 51 WOLVES 42 PARRYS International Wolves continued their Elite League preparations with a satisfactory night''s work at the Showground against the powerful Panthers. The Wolves heat-leaders all stepped up the pace and won seven races between them, no mean feat against a home side also built with top-end strength in mind. Just as at Poole on Wednesday Wolves made a poor start to the meeting, going eight points down before Billy Hamill managed a fast win over Ryan Sullivan in Heat 4. Peter Karlsson won his third outing for double points as Wolves clawed back into contention, and brother Magnus once again won Heat 12, but Hamill was left at the back in his tactical ride as the Panthers secured victory. Fredrik Lindgren was arguably the rider of the night on either side, the young Swede winning three consecutive races after being overtaken by Jesper B Jensen in Heat 3. PETERBOROUGH: Hans Andersen 10, Ulrich Ostergaard 9+1, Jesper B Jensen 8+1, Niels-Kristian Iversen 7, Ryan Sullivan 7, Tomasz Bajerski 6+2, Richard Hall 4+3. WOLVES: Peter Karlsson 14, Fredrik Lindgren 12, Billy Hamill 8, Magnus Karlsson 4, Christian Hefenbrock 2, William Lawson 2, Krzysztof Pecyna 0.
