SPEEDWAY 1 BILLY Hamill returns to the UK on Sunday - and will attend Wolverhampton''s press and practice session on Monday. The American had been expected to miss his early engagements for his new club due to visa problems. Wolves promoter Chris Van Straaten said: ''We''re delighted with the news that Billy will be with us on Monday and, of course, at Poole on Wednesday.'' SPEEDWAY 2 NEWCASTLE were inspired by former Berwick rider Josef Franc as they pulled off a shock 49-41 win at Shielfield Park on Saturday. Franc scored 14 to head a solid team effort from the Diamonds on a track where they have rarely excelled. Newcastle boss George English said: ''Our lads were so fired up and ready for success, and it was brilliant to watch.'' FIXTURES
