SPEEDWAY 1 SHEFFIELD will open the back straight at Owlerton for the first time since 2002 with a large crowd expected for Sunday''s Sean Wilson Cracker. Wilson''s 20-year benefit meeting has attracted a host of top riders for what could be his last on-track appearance at his former club. He said: ''Standing on the track on Friday got me really buzzing and I can''t wait for Sunday.'' SPEEDWAY 2 STOKE have made a second new signing for their Conference League team by agreeing a deal with Scott Courtney. He joins Ben Barker, who put pen to paper with the Spitfires earlier in the week. Courtney said: ''The few meetings I had last year really whetted my appetite and I am keen to make the most of this opportunity. I am putting some good equipment together.''
