10 March 2006 - British Speedway Promoters Association
SPEEDWAY 1 PETER Adams insists the arrival of former world champion Billy Hamill will be worth the wait. The Wolverhampton boss is likely to be without his new signing for the challenge match at Poole on Wednesday because of a delay with his visa. He said: ''Billy has been a thorn in our side for well over a decade but he is still a terrific rider and we''re pleased to have him on board.'' SPEEDWAY 2 BENJI Compton is relishing the prospect of his first full season of Premier League racing with Sheffield. He said: ''I''m really excited, I''ve got a brand new bike that I haven''t ridden yet, I''m really looking forward to a decent run in the team. ''With a regular team slot I won''t feel under so much pressure to impress, I can focus on improving my ability and scoring useful points for Sheffield.''
