BRITISH SPEEDWAY NEWS AND FIXTURES 16.8.04
16 August 2004 - British Speedway Promoters Association

SWINDON boss Alun Rossiter reckons his side are facing up to make or break time in their bid to reach the Elite League play-offs.

He said: ''We''re slap bang in the middle of a busy spell which will determine the play-off picture. ''We simply cannot afford to lose too many meetings. Every time we race we have to go out for the win to finish as high up the table as possible.''

WORKINGTON boss Ian Thomas is refusing to take home advantage for granted when the club stage the prestigious Premier League Fours on Saturday. He said: ''There are some powerful teams who are more than capable of holding their own and it''s a hard meeting. ''You only have to look at the form Hull are in at the top of the league and that underlines what a tough night of racing it will be.''
