SHEFFIELD SPEEDWAY
15 August 2004 - British Speedway Promoters Association

TIGERS chief Neil Machin admits the loss of Andrew Moore is a ''massive blow'' to the team.

Moore crashed when riding for Elite League Eastbourne last night and has suffered a broken leg. Machin had pinpointed Moore as a key figure in the forthcoming away meetings with Newcastle tonight (5.30pm) and King''s Lynn on Wednesday. He said: ''It''s dreadful news and sometimes I have to sit back and wonder what will happen next. ''Naturally our first thoughts are with Andrew, we could have done with him at Newcastle and King''s Lynn because he thrives around those tracks. ''Now we will have to stick together. We need to get some points on the board. I remain convinced, totally convinced, that we will reach the play-offs.'' Hull''s in-form number one Ross Brady, who scored 13 on his last visit to Tyneside, will make a guest appearance in place of the injured Sean Wilson.

NEWCASTLE: Lubos Tomicek, Kevin Little, Richard Juul, Lee Dicken, Jason Lyons, Jamie Robertson, William Lawson.

SHEFFIELD: Ross Brady, Andrew Moore R/R, Richard Hall, Ricky Ashworth, Andre Compton, James Birkinshaw, Ben Wilson.
