Scottoiler, the market leader in chain lubrication systems, are pleased to announce their successful grant application for a new KTP position in conjunction with the University of Strathclyde.
Working in conjunction with Scottoiler and the Strathclyde, the KTP position is a diverse venture, requiring skill in a selection of fields. The position, which is still to be filled, will last for 33 months, and cover the following projects: - Continued investigation of lubricant fluids for future development, including oil functions, associated ingredients, and possible future developments. A Data Connection System, to enable data transmission from a soldier’s backpack with increased security. The data transmission system is a development from a joint venture between a world leader in electronic systems and the Department of Design, Manufacture and Engineering Management. Scottoiler will facilitate the progress to manufacture. Development of the Ski Oiler – an electro/mechanical lubrication system; The VPX body protection system. Scottoiler are renowned for their Motorcycle and Bicycle Chain Drive Lubrication systems, and have had success in the past with partnerships with both Strathclyde and Herriot Watt Universities.
