SPEEDWAY 1 OXFORD owner Aaron Lanney believes he has signed the perfect replacement for Tony Rickardsson in Todd Wiltshire. He said: ''Todd is a legend at Oxford and I really don''t think we could have signed a better rider to take over from Tony. ''He can still do it, I''ve got no doubts about that, he can at least justify his average and he will be good for the team.'' SPEEDWAY 2 WORKINGTON have appointed Garry Stead as their new captain in succession to Carl Stonehewer. Boss Graham Drury admitted it was a straight choice between Stead and his ex-Hull colleague Paul Thorp at Derwent Park. He said: ''It was always going to be a tough job deciding on who should be the new captain because both Steady and Thorpy are the two experienced riders in the team.''
