EXCITING NEW SHOW LAUNCHED
28 February 2006 - British Speedway Promoters Association

SPEEDWAY''S first regular national magazine radio show is to be hosted this season by BBC Radio Oxford.

''Planet Speedway'' will be broadcast on Wednesday nights on BBC Radio Oxford 95.2 FM and on the main BBC sport website at www.bbc.co.uk/motorbikes.

A listen again feature will also be available on the Planet Speedway mini-site at www.bbc.co.uk/oxford. You can also tune in by logging on to the official British Speedway website british-speedway.co.uk

Using a network of speedway correspondents up and down the country the programme will bring the most comprehensive coverage of the sport ever on the BBC.

The programme will consist of 30 minutes of news, views and interviews from the conference league to the Grand Prix series.

Team news from all the tracks racing that evening. Interviews from top stars. Starting on March 15th, the first show will have interviews with three of speedway''s greatest ever riders: Tony Rickardsson, Ivan Mauger, and Hans Nielsen plus many other of the biggest names in Speedway old and new.
