NEW Eastbourne signing Brent Werner has admitted he didn''t expect to leave Premier League champions Rye House.

Werner was left out because the Rockets had to bring down their team strength after a brilliant 2005 campaign and he returns to Sussex after spending 2001 at Arlington.

He said: ''I never had any thoughts about moving from Rye House but because of the points limit that is how it has worked out.''

RYAN Sullivan is the last rider to be confirmed for Sean Wilson''s 20th anniversary celebration meeting at Sheffield on Sunday, March 12 (5pm).

Sullivan is back with Elite League Peterborough for the new season.

Wilson said: ''I''d never really had much to do with Ryan during my career, but when I spoke to him about my meeting he was really up for it, and I''d never realised how much we have in common.''
